Hey there, food adventurers! Today’s mission: oven roasted asparagus. It’s basically vegetable fireworks; a crispy, green explosion that will have your taste buds dance.
Say goodbye to boring sides, this very easy asparagus recipe is here to drop the mic and steal the show!

Oven Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients:

  • Asparagus;
  • Salt;
  • Pepper;
  • Extra virgin olive oil.

We are now turning that kitchen into a flavor forge.

  1. Time to bring the heat. Preheat your oven to a blazing 220°C (425°F). Pro-tip: we are talking oven inferno so wait a few more minute after the oven reaches the set temperature! That is how those asparagus get that outer sizzle while staying firm.
  2. Let’s give those asparagus a spa treatment; wash ’em up real good. Then, line them up and snip off the tough bottoms (2 to 3 cm / 1 inch).
  3. Grab a clean kitchen cloth gently pat them until dry.
  4. Roll out the red carpet, aka your baking sheet on the oven pan, place the asparagus on a single layer and respecting their personal space (keep them separated when possible).
  5. Drizzle olive oil like you are auditioning for a cooking show. Now, it’s showtime: sprinkle them with salt and black pepper. Need even coverage? Say hello to your silicone brush sidekick!

  6. In they go, into the fiery pit for around ten minutes. Wanna level up the crunch? Maybe add a little extra time for that crisp magic.

Roasted Asparagus

Serves: 4
Cooking time: 20 minutes minutes
Level: Very easy

Ingredients

  • 500g - Asparagus
  • 1 - Pinch of salt
  • 1 - Pinch of black pepper
  • Enough to coat the vegetables - Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F);

2. Wash the vegetables;

3. Dry the asparagus with a kitchen towel;

4. Lay them on a oven pan over a baking sheet;

5. Coat them with olive oil and sprinkle them with salt and black pepper;

6. Roast them in the oven for around 10 minutes (a bit more for extra crispiness).
